At their April 18, 2017, meeting, the Columbia River People's Utility District Board of Directors appointed John Nguyen as General Manager. Nguyen has served as Interim General Manager since August 2015. He now becomes the third General Manager in the PUD's 33-year history.

February 23, 2017 - Columbia River People's Utility District customers who reside in floating homes that sit outside the PUD's political boundary in Multnomah Channel will vote on annexing into the district in May. The Multnomah County Board of Commissioners unanimously passed a resolution on February 23, 2017, calling for annexation measures to be placed on the ballots in Columbia and Multnomah Counties for the May 16, 2017, election.
St. Helens, OR - A snowstorm on Super Bowl Sunday caused scattered power outages in Columbia County.
We have received reports of scattered outages in our service area as a result of the snowfall. Crews are working to make repairs.
