Public Notice – Board Vacancy

At the January 18, 2022 Board meeting, the Board of Directors of Columbia River People’s Utility District (CRPUD) declared a vacancy for the position of Director of Subdivision Four beginning February 1, 2022.

The Board of Directors is inviting eligible candidates to submit letters of interest and/or resumes to fill the aforementioned vacancy. This is normally an elected office; the term of this appointment will run through December 31, 2022. The position will then be up for election at the November 2022 general election to serve a two-year term beginning January 2023.

ORS 261.405(3) provides that candidates must be an elector; must reside within the subdivision which they are running for; and must have resided in the district continuously for two years immediately preceding the date of election/appointment.

Subdivision Four consists of two Precincts, St. Helens One (Precinct 21) and St. Helens Four (Precinct 24).

Those meeting the above requirements are invited to visit our website at www.crpud.net/boardvacancy to access the Interest Form (below) to submit a letter of interest and/or resume. All application materials should be addressed to the Board and must be submitted electronically no later than 5:30 p.m., Wednesday, March 9, 2022. It is anticipated the candidate selected would be appointed by CRPUD’s Board of Directors at the March 22, 2022, Regular Meeting.

Columbia River PUD currently provides electric service to 19,890 customers in Columbia and Multnomah Counties. The PUD currently employs 46 people and had total operating and non-operating income of $35 million in 2020.
